Dear Residents,

Here is a little update on what has been happening around St Mary’s Garden Village.

Parking
Please could all residents ensure that they park their vehicles considerately around the site, ensuring that there is space for pedestrians, wheelchair or pushchair users and vehicles (including emergency vehicles) to get around safely and not blocking anyone’s driveway or view at junctions. Please also continue to drive slowly around the site, and encourage delivery drivers to do the same, to keep everyone safe.

Play Park
There have been some repairs carried out to the play park, including the main gates being replaced. Disappointingly, the latches on both gates were again vandalised. New latches have been ordered, and Julian, your caretaker, has very kindly agreed to replace them. We ask that all residents be respectful when taking their children to use the park, stay vigilant, and please report any vandalism to Elite and to 101.

CCTV
Elite visited St Mary’s recently to meet with Fire Walker, who are installing the remaining CCTV cameras. We have also asked for quotes on an extra camera that would focus on the boat house. We are hopeful that all of the CCTV will be up and running in the next couple of months.

Allotments
There are two raised beds available to rent at the allotments. If you are interested, please get in touch – we would love to see them all being used.

The Gym
Please ensure that you book a slot before using the gym to avoid overcrowding. Thank you to the majority for taking such care of the gym, and please continue to wipe down the equipment after use, close windows and leave things as you found them. This really helps your wonderful caretakers.

The Hall
Loxone have recently completed the annual service in the Hub, and we are in the process of booking the Fire, Health and Safety Assessment.

  • We continue to see some great events happening at the Hub, as well as lots of great regular classes.
  • The Residents’ Association holds a coffee morning on the first Saturday of the month from 10am to 12 noon.
  • The WI has a meeting on the second Tuesday evening of the month.
  • There is a book club that meets monthly.
  • There is a fitness class held on Monday evenings.
  • There have also been monthly quiz nights taking place.

As always, a huge thank you to your fabulous caretakers who do a brilliant job keeping the Hub running.

The Glass Balustrade
Elite have been working with the police regarding the damage to the glass balustrades. One offender has been identified, and the family are contributing toward the cost of repair. The panels have been replaced; however, after a couple of residents raised some concerns, we are currently in contact with the company that carried out the work to discuss these concerns.

The Website
The website is in the process of having a revamp to make it more user-friendly, so that regular updates can be found easily by all residents.

If you have any regular bookings, events, or news that you would like shared on the St Mary’s Garden Village website, please send an email to megan@elite-propertymanagement.com.

Edenstone are in the process of completing their work around the site, and we will ensure that they get all areas up to spec before the handover to residents takes place.

As ever, if anyone has any questions or concerns, do feel free to get in touch.

Kind regards
Elite Residential Property Management
